Synopsis
In 1930s fascist Italy, young Luca has just lost his mother. His indifferent father sends him to live with British expatriate Mary Wallace. Alongside Mary are her sophisticated friends—artist Arabella, young widow Elsa, and archaeologist Georgie—who look after him. But their refined lives are upended when Allied forces declare war on Mussolini.
